Garden Tour and Tea Party

It was a hot and steamy Sunday afternoon of Memorial Day weekend, but that didn’t stop garden enthusiasts from coming out to tour the magnificent property of Montgomery Friends of Open Space President Sarah Roberts and her husband, master gardener Larry Koplik. Over 25 people followed Larry through the winding paths in meadows and woods to discover popular native and more rare flowering plants and trees. After we had our fill of flowers, we were treated to our fill of homemade lemonade, ice teas, and delicious baked goods, including shortbread, brownies, gluten free butterscotch bars, and the oh so refreshing cucumber sandwiches.
