Dog Walk with Dr. Joseph Martins

February 1 was cold and cloudy, but a lot of folks showed up at noon time with their dogs at Montgomery Park to learn about dog etiquette and safety outside from Dr. Joseph Martins of Belle Mead Animal Hospital. We started in a circle near the lower parking lot and the dogs barked and yipped as Dr. Martins gave helpful tips about meeting strange dogs and people out on the trail. Finally the dogs settled down and we set out for a walk on the snowy arboretum trail. We stopped here and there along the way for more questions and answers. The dogs and people enjoyed each others company and the beautiful snowy landscape. By 1 o’clock dogs and people were cold and went on their way, but a grand time was had by all!

We all gathered by the lower parking lot in Montgomery Park.

Dr. Martins, in the cool sunglasses and boots, gave some helpful advice about meeting new dogs and people when out on the trail.
